Sports at St. Conleth's

 

Sports are an integral part of St.Conleth's College, and each student is encouraged to participate in sport as much as possible. We at St.Conleth's try to promote a healthy lifestyle which the students will hopefully keep throughout their life.
Sports classes in St.Conleths College consist of one double period a week, during which the students participate in:
Football
Volleyball
Basketball
Tag rugby
Frisbee
Rounders
Dodgeball
Fitness tests are also conducted throughout the year.
We have also introduced theory into the sports classes, where the student learn how to warm up and stretch the muscles of the body, the rules of the games they participate in and other such topics.

Transition Year students participate in a full day of sports each week - usually 5 A- side football in the mornings and either basketball or a fitness module / rugby skills in the afternoon. This helps them to focus and improve on their motor skills as well as their physical fitness.
